The Lite version of ASTERIAN is a free download that you can use to try out ASTERIAN before purchasing the full version. The Lite version is a low-quality, feature-reduced version that lets you try out ASTERIAN's voice.
The Lite voice database requires either Synthesizer V Studio Basic, a free download on Dreamtonics' website, or Synthesizer V Studio Pro, which can be purchased from the Dreamtonics store, to function.
Lite Version Usage Agreement
The Lite version cannot be used commercially, and any public uploads using the Lite voice must attribute the vocal as "ASTERIAN Lite" prominently in the title, description, and associated caption or video.

Yes! By purchasing ASTERIAN, you gain a license that allows you to use his voice commercially. These vocals can either be attributed to "ASTERIAN" or left unattributed. This license extends to physical music releases, streaming services, and online sales. You can review ASTERIAN's full license agreement here.
ASTERIAN may have been recorded in English only, but the Synthesizer V Studio Pro editor allows AI voices like him to sing in Japanese and Chinese as well! This feature is limited to the paid version of Synthesizer V Studio, which can be purchased on the Dreamtonics store. Synthesizer V also allows users to edit note pronunciations based on individual vowel and consonant sounds, and so other languages similar in sound to English can be approximated by skilled users. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee quality of pronunciation in any other language, but we also provide some bonus materials with our voice libraries to make this approximation easier.
ASTERIAN will have a trial version soon! While the turnaround from release to his song contest is not as quick as SOLARIA's as we have multiple vocals to focus on now, ASTERIAN's lite voice database will be released along with a song contest in late 2023.

ASTERIAN is at his core a bass vocal - covering the notes from C2 to F#4 best in the current version. However, he also has a pleasant falsetto currently available between G4 and C5.
The only way to purchase a physical copy of ASTERIAN was by purchasing the limited sales held alongside his release, but leftovers are being sold as pre-orders now alongside our next vocal SAROS' release on our shop.
Having a character to represent the vocal is somewhat of a tradition in vocal synthesis spaces, and we wanted to continue on in that vein. Additionally, having an associated image of a person makes it more immediately clear that the software is a virtual singer, and gives some idea as to what the voice might sound like before even listening. ASTERIAN's character is also free to use commercially once you purchase the voice database.
